Keep reading to check out past October weddings from around Charleston!

Rustic Elegance at the Cotton Dock

The warm tones of the Cotton Dock created the perfect atmosphere for this October wedding. The Cotton Dock offers views of the Wampocheone Creek, a stunning backdrop for any celebration. The inside of the wooden structure was home to round reception tables paired with traditional long ones adorned with crisp white linens and blue accents. Gold Leaf Trellis Chandeliers were hung in a row to enhance the elegance of the space. To greet guests, this couple opted for a custom neon sign to reintroduce themselves.

Modern Minimalism at Lowndes Grove

Lowndes Grove is another waterfront venue that is perfect for the fall season. Lowndes Grove sits alongside the Ashley River so this means you have the opportunity to witness one of Charleston’s breathtaking sunsets. This wedding reception focused on the simple pleasures. From the pale blush coloring to the golden Darby Chandeliers that line the tent, this wedding design tied in every detail to create a romantic, cohesive look. And we can’t forget to mention the romantic sweetheart table that was overflowing with a lush, floral runner.

Glam at Lowndes Grove

One of our favorite aspects of wedding planning is the versatility! This Lowndes Grove wedding took a more glamorous route with all white decor and elegant touches. Lush floral arrangements lined the main table while glimmering Empire Chandeliers were suspended above the tablescape to draw guests’ eyes. No detail was overlooked with this wedding reception - even the outdoor lounge had a matching Empire Chandelier luxuriously floating above the space.

Boho Chic at Lowndes Grove

Temperate weather in the lowcountry means there is no shortage of outdoor weddings in October! There is a whimsical, freeing feeling when you’re standing out at Lowndes Grove and that same feeling was incorporated into this bohemian wedding. A clear top tent was used to filter in the perfect amount of light while drapes were layered amidst clusters of Ashley Pendants and Leran Pendants and Cafe Lighting. The wooden decor tied in the natural elegance of the venue as well as the rattan accents found throughout the design. This wedding boasted both layers and texture to highlight the beauty of Lowndes Grove.

Cottagecore at the William Aiken House

The William Aiken House is in the heart of downtown Charleston and offers both indoor and outdoor reception spaces. Although it is possible to put a tent outside, this wedding boasted an open concept with a pergola frame covered in an abundance of greenery supporting the cascading Cafe Lights. The combination of greenery and soft neutral tones is an essential element to the cottagecore wedding aesthetic.
