How to Light Up our Favorite Lowcountry Wedding Venues

The lowcountry, Charleston, in particular, is a preferred wedding destination that offers an abundance of stunning venues. From formal indoor affairs and classic tented receptions to dreamy open-air spaces, there is something for everyone. No matter the venue you choose, there will need to be adequate lighting to create the ambiance you are looking for. Keep reading to see some of our favorite lowcountry venues and how we can transform them with our lighting rentals!

Lowndes Grove

Lowndes Grove offers both outdoor spaces and a permanent tent that is the perfect blank canvas for an intricate lighting design. The most efficient way to light the outdoor spaces at Lowndes Grove is by hanging Café Lights from the branches of the oak trees or the tent frame. Our Café Lights emit a warm glow that enhances the intimate feeling you want at your wedding. The inside of the tent is where the real magic can happen. Our favorite way to light the tent is by hanging clusters of our Chandeliers in combination with drape or string lights. We offer many chandelier rentals to match the theme of your wedding. Pictured above are our modern Darby Chandeliers and our rattan-style Leran and Ashley Pendants.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Resort

Wedding lighting designs at the Ocean Course are typically found in a tent placed on the lawn, although we can also highlight the clubhouse with up lights. Our favorite tent lighting design for a tent at the Ocean Course is a unique pattern of Café Lights that make the tent glow to match the sun set over the ocean. We like to add a simple design of Café Lights to the outside of the tent for a cohesive look and some added light for guests that may wander around the venue. For an added glow, consider adding extra string lighting to the frame of your tent or a pathway of candles.

William Aiken House

William Aiken House has plenty of space that we are able to highlight with our romantic lighting designs. We love to enhance the stunning magnolia tree situated in the middle of the venue with lighting such as our Branch Fairy Lights. Adding lighting to the natural elements of a venue is the best way to draw your guest's attention to them. You can bring an elegant ambiance to the outdoor spaces such as the front lawn or carriage house by hanging an open-air design of Café Lights. Say "I do" under the pergola and add one of our many chandelier rentals for a romantic backdrop. If you opt to add a tent to this venue, we can fill it with intricate chandeliers such as our Valentina.
