The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort boasts impressive views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the 18th hole at the resort's most famous golf course. This venue offers a clubhouse with a beautiful wraparound veranda, beach access, an expansive outdoor lawn, and four indoor venue options. The Ocean Course definitely isn't lacking in reception spaces, but we are partial to a tented reception setup on the lawn. In this blog post we will go over some of our favorite ways to enhance your stunning outdoor wedding at the Ocean Course!
Classy Design
This design was one part classic, another part luxury with our Empire Chandeliers and billowing white drape hung throughout the tent! We love the addition of lush greenery and crisp florals at the entrance of the open-gable tent to match the hanging structure above the dance floor. Twinkle Lights were added to the sides of the tent to create an ethereal look as guests entered. The lights create a warm ambiance that matches the glow of the sky as night sets in.
Natural Design
This design took a more minimalistic route with an open sailcloth tent which allows guests to experience the beauty of their surroundings. We hung an abundance of our Café Lights throughout the tent to illuminate the details of the greenery and tablescape below. This couple opted to enhance the natural beauty of this venue by using creams, tans, and greenery as their color scheme. The outdoor lounge featured a wicker texture that fits the coastal style of the venue perfectly. They also opted to hold their ceremony on the lawn with an altar wrapped in greenery, once again complementing the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery.
Romantic Design
This reception featured another sailcloth tent that incorporated drape for a romantic touch that softened the look of the tent frame. This design was warm and airy with pops of pale pink, light wooden accents, and the glow of our Café Lights. The runner made of florals added another romantic element to the simplistic table top design. The newlyweds made their exit beneath streamers while our Café Lights cascaded above to light the way. Hanging our Café Lights both in and outside the tent creates a nice transition to the different spaces at your reception.
