With over 6 million people visiting Charleston annually, it is no surprise that it is the financial and commercial hub of the lowcountry. With its iconic weather, picturesque settings, and rich history, Charleston is 1 year shy of holding the spott for #1 US City for a decade, according to the Traveler + Leisure Magazine. Even during the colder season, Charleston still remains an ideal destination with so many activities and sights to see indoors as well as outdoors!
Our team was very excited to collab with the Charleston Place, a Belmond Hotel to bring their ideas for their first Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to fruition. Beginning on November 26th and continuing through Christmas eve with a nightly tree lighting and snow show, this was the perfect place to get into the holiday spirit! Check out how we made it all possible!
To create an icy blue atmosphere inside of the Belmond Charleston Place, we used our Up Lights and lined them along the floor to accentuate the festive decorations. Our Up Lights were the perfect choice for this event because of their versatility and multitude of colors. This enhanced the wintery aesthetic so that guests were able to feel like they were walking in a winter wonderland as they explored the lobby! To make the experience even more special, the Charleston Belmond Place offered hot cocoa and sweets from Baguette Magic for guests to sip and snack while enjoying the whimsical decor.
The gorgeous scene of the Market Street Circle at the Charleston Place, a Belmond Hotel, was created using a combination of string lighting and our Crisp Max snow machine. The hotel was illuminated by over 70 live trees which we decked out with festive holiday lighting. We then used our Crisp Max to bring naturalistic snow to the Lowcountry! Everyday, starting November 26th through Christmas Eve, from 3pm to 6pm, the ritual of the tree lighting and magical snow appearance begin! To top it all off, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, the Charleston Caroling Company made their way to the Market Street Circle to sing nostalgic holiday tunes from 5-8pm!
