How to Host a Safe Thanksgiving

Updated: Apr 12, 2022

Let's be honest, 2020 has been a year like no other and for a lot of us it hasn't been an easy year. That's why this Thanksgiving is extremely important. We need a day to focus on things we're thankful for. We need a day to take a step back from all the stressors in our lives and count our blessings. We need a day to spend time with our loved ones and let them know that they are valued and appreciated. However, like most things this year, this Thanksgiving may look different for some. That's why IES is here with some tips to help you have a memorable and safe Thanksgiving.

Welcome Family and Friends with a Hand Sanitizer Station at Your Front Door

The key to a safe Thanksgiving is clean hands. Make clean hands a priority and have a hand sanitizer station at your front door to greet your guests as they arrive. We offer both a White and a Wooden option to match with the ambiance of your house and decorations.

Disinfect Your Home With a Fogger

Before and after having guests in your home it is a good idea to disinfect your home with a fogger. Our Air Guard foggers are an antibacterial vaporizer that are perfect for making sure the surfaces of your home are disinfected and clean.

Consider Transitioning Thanksgiving Outside

Many people feel like being outside is a safer option when getting together with people so why not transition your Thanksgiving outside? One thing to consider is the sun is setting around 5:30pm but don't let that stop your outdoor Thanksgiving plans! We can set up café lighting, up lighting and other lighting options to light up your backyard allowing your friends and family to gather safely outside past sunset.
